Before I install the new Patch...

I've spent some time in the editor making changes to things like the civilisation qualities so that the game is the same as the book. If I install the patch will I be able to use the same .bic file rules?

Yes, but I wouldn't use the new editor for anything until you're sure it's straightened out...so just don't change anything.

Also, back up your .bic file, otherwise it will overwrite with the new one, just move it somewhere else until after you update, then move it back.

So you are basically saying if you want to edit something in .bic do it before you update...

Which .bic file I have two of them. One is Marlasworldmap1.13.bic in the scenario folder and the other is the civ3mod.bic file in the main directory? Which one or both will the patach overwrite?

It will overwrite the civ3mod.bic

good I never use the original civ3mod.bic file anyway.
