berserks!!!

I was playing for my frist time as scandinavia, and those berserks rock!

Quickly after discovering invention, i build up my army of berserks and dominated my neighbours in my contenent in a flash. Though not too good defense, they are powerful, especially this early early in the game (6.2.1)! They can beat any unit with only rarely even loosing a hitpoint. Then, i took them in my ships to the other continent and whiped out the inca and the mongols. GUess what, they can attack from sea!

This is too easy.

Anyone else tied them?

What unit does the Berserk replace? Calvary? I have felt the power of the berserks as they tried a failed invasion, but never have I actually used them. There is simply too many Civs to play them all, I find.

If it's too easy, up the difficulty level when playing Vikings.

When I played the Vikings, I was stuck on a large island with England, and beat them before I had my wonderful Bererkirs. However, once I had them, I built a fleet of warships, and went off, conquering multiple civilizations with ease, even though they already had musketmen! It was great, and I was a full-fledged naval superpower, and had brought all but the koreans [who had more than two thirds of the region's largest continent] to my knees! I was still far behind in tech, though. x.x

With that much power, do you really need technology? I don't think so...

Well, if you are on a large enough map, there is a chance the AI will get infantry before you destroy them... Then you have a problem, if you are really behind in tech. They will eventually declare war on you, and slaughter you. So, techs won't hurt you...
