BERT Trophy room ideas

A small criticism of mine with BE in general is that there isn't really a good way to track progress from one game to the next. A campaign of some sort is ideal of course but would be a huge undertaking for Firaxis. A more realistic approach would be something similar to Civ:RevolutionI where your goal is to simply fill up a trophy room when you complete different victory types with each sponsor. Some thoughts:

1. There should really be at least two rooms, one for optimizing (choosing the best starting conditions) and the other for randomizing (all random settings).

2. You should be able to randomize victory condition as well. This just makes it easier to fill up your grid without following some repetitive pattern.

3. Best time with each victory type and sponsor should be tracked, as well as overall best time.

4. Total winning percentage should also be tracked. This forces players to balance winning and going for speed. Super conservative players won't have fast win times, but super fast techers might have more losses on their record if they aren't building proper defenses. This feature would be somewhat problematic though since its tempting to cheat by just not finishing games.

5. Score should not be tracked. I find score to be completely worthless. You achieve high scores by sticking around and battering opponents when the game should already be over.

There are some other ideas but at some point things become too convoluted and less becomes more, which IMO is true for a lot of aspects of BERT. Thoughts?
