Pish, postcount shmoshtcount - What difference does it make?

I'm pretty sure Stratego is still posting here.
I like the XXX solves everything best.

Postcount is a vital part of the Poster Respect Algorithm:
Respect = sqrt(P) + Dj/Di + I + N.
where
P is the person's postcount divided by the observer's postcount;
Dj/Di is the join year of the observer divided by the join year of the person;
I is the ideology constant, which is a measure of the person's political views adjusted for the views of the observer;
N is the noteriety constant: different posters have different noteriety based on past actions. #fiftychat, the SF Three, etc.
So postcount matters, but as time goes on the other factors matter more.![]()

Perhaps that should be log(P) rather than sqrt(P). And what is the zero-point for Dj and Di? It makes a big difference if, say 2000 is the starting point versus 1 AD.

It's all in good fun.
