OK folks, best Spiritual leader and why based on the Creative survey. I will vote later myself.

Argh these are hard. I'm putting my vote on Mansa since that's my first instinct although I would not object putting my vote on Hatty, Ramesses, Asoka, Gandhi or Montezuma either.

I love playing Mansa Musa. he is financial and his uu is good defensive way, I am afterall probably peaceful boy.
UB is not bad either.

Hatty is good for me too. Ghandi (I hope that i didnt mix!) has great UU and Phi trait. but since it's one vote poll... Mansa

I'm for Justinian. I really like everything about him except the starting techs. Cataphracts make medieval war possible and the UB gives tons of happiness!

Plus imperialistic is nice ^^

Mansa Musa just seems so perfect for SP and MP that I find him hard to deny. I love the combo's of early UUs that are good, along with traits to set up a strong economy, which places Darius and Mansa right at the top of my list. Sure his UB is medicore to poor, but with the help of skermishers, financial, and rapidly changing civics, his economy should really be at the top of the game.

I think Ghandi deserves an honorable mention, maybe at the highest levels of play he could be better than Mansa, but I only play on emperor

They're generally all good, except for Saladin and to a lesser degree Brennus. I voted for Gandhi - spiritual + philosophical = caste system goodness! Plus the universally good UU.

Agree with shyuhe's assessment. The only ones I don't like are Sal and Brennus, and maybe also Izzy. Gandhi wins easily, though.

Gandhi, his traits offer a very nice synergy. Add Pyramids and voilà: you're about to leave AIs aeons behind in tech.
While I personally don't like the UB that much (I don't incline to espionage, especially with PHI leader), the UU is just fantastic!
But that's just thoughts of a prince-level player, so feel free to instruct me about Gandhi's weaknesses
Favourite SPI leaders to play against are Izzy, Monty and Mansa Musa. While Izzy brings some challenging diplomacy to the game, Monty is a tough rival to play against. Mansa Musa is pretty obvious I guess...

Gota be Gandi,PHI lets you get the tech lead with pacifism/caste,then instant total war mode-police state/nationhood/slavery/theocracy.Plus his UB gives 2 so that switch from Representation to Police state is,nt as painful.

Also starting with MYS you can grab early religion,and then just switch depending how the rest of the world goes.

There are several really good spiritual leaders but my vote is for Ghandi. I've really grown to favor the Spiritual trait a lot and Philo is just very powerful. The ability to be able to switch Civics whenever you want really meshes well for the Philo trait, as you can switch into Rep, Caste, Merc, Pacifism to boost research and great people. Then switch into other civics as needed for war or gold or whatever. Plus, his UU is arguably the best in the game.

If you play to win: Ramesses

The best UB, strong UU, good starting techs and solid synergy between obelisk and industrious trait.

One thing I like with spiritual civs in general is how they make alternative strategies more fun and viable. Ramesses can (if not AP-win) also go that special priest-economy, Monty with sacrificial alter, Gandhi with phi+spi, Isabella with CR3-arty from citadel, Justinian with cataprachts and so on. And of course, they all share the ability to switch in and out of civics and religions given by the spiritual trait

I voted Gandhi.Philo is great and he has one, if not the best, UU with the fast worker.

Second for me would be either Mansa or Ramesses.

Give me any of the Indian or Egyptian leaders and I'm happy. Mansa belongs on the same level as well. My personal favorite is Ramesses, but that has more to do with my play style.

Brennus is a monster, but the Celts are lame. I'm not that fond of Mansa; it's got to be a coin-flipper between Gandhi and Asoka.

I like most of them, actually. Spiritual is a particular favourite of mine.

So many good choices. Either Egyptian, either Indian, or Mansa.

I went with Ramses. I like Industrious for cheap wonders (including National) and forges. Gotta work on the world wonder habit. I don't use the UB much, but the UB is great. War Chariot is one of the top UU's in the game.

Second choice - Mansa. Everything works. UU is a little dull, but very effective. I build forges all over the place, so the extra gold comes in handy.

Hatty - I prefer Industrious but I think it's just a personal preference.

Indians - Philosophical vs. Organized. Both very good. Great UU, although the UB isn't much of anything.

I play Epic. Promote the Indians if you play Quick. UU is awesome on Quick.
