Although, the reveal of France does provide a biiit more hope for Britain? We know that the Modern age cultural path is tied to archeology, and with France’s design having nothing to do with Egyptology, one may wonder which of the remaining speculated civs will lean into it, if not Britain. Or will there be no such bonus in the base game at all?

Prussia/Germany were a bit late starters in Egypt, but they are also good candidates for it. They lack a well-known institution like the British Museum of the Louvre for a few reasons, but if you look at the results of their archaeological endeavors in combination, it's not really less impressive. And they generally published more extensive volumes
One of them (Right to Rule) doesn't include World Wonders, so presumably they might be from civs that wouldn't have an associated wonder in the game yet.
Hmmm. That’s interesting. I must have mixed that up. I thought crossroads didn’t include world wonders. Man we’re really gonna have to wait for Britain lol.

100% on that. It’s weird when the version of Civilization that releases with 31 civs lacks one for the “cradle of civilization.” Maybe that’s why someone brought up Sid’s comment about leaving Genghis out: “We’re gonna say and imply things about who’s in the base game but these will not happen.”
Turning point: we’ll have Babylon in Crossroads of the World with the Hanging Gardens as its associated wonder, while Assyria has been postponed to who knows when.

No, you're right. I mixed up what I way saying. I still think we're going to wait on Britain (in Right to Rule) because I think they will wait and release Big Ben with them, and keep Oxford unassociated.

The Nisan Processional Way is my first choice for Babylon's wonder, but Etemenenki would work as well. I agree that the Hanging Gardens should remain unassociated since they were almost certainly in Nineveh if they existed at all.
So 22% who voted were confirmed to be wrong now with Russia confirmed. Well, it was probably the less popular option because Russia was the one with strongest evidence of being in the game so far of the three.

Schliemann as the Leader for Germany would be very wack... ;-) Bonus: destroys archaeological digs, but finds something even if there isn't anything there ;-)

As for the newer News, it really doesn't matter that much because the other civ is in the first DLC, no?
