Well, this one took a lot longer than I expected. Given the the length of development time (and the amount of interruptions therein) I'm expecting there to be a fair number of uncaught bugs and incomplete additions, despite my best efforts. Any time you can spend playtesting this beta would be massively appreciated.

I have three hours into a regular game and I am blocked. (I save after every turn and sometimes more). The game freezes after I end the turn and the spinning planet comes on saying the other players are taking their turn. The music continues playing. No keystrokes work so I had to force quit. I tried going back to the end of the previous move and load it and go foreward selecting the other science item to research and it can go foreward one move and after that it freezes the game the same way. <update> After going back about 3 saves and trying different choices I have moved forward about six turns and am stuck again. Its a small map and only 3-4 other AI's in the game. I've been able to get to CE-0560. No problems other than this one so far.

When it gets stuck, try pressing CTRL-C (Windows) or CMD-C (Mac). If that doesn't help, please post the saved game.

looking forward to give it a spin.

advanced diplomacy - very nice that you managed to merge it into kmod! well done!
last time i looked at AD , there were some bugs in it ? i reckon that fixed these? and have you checked it in multiplayer?
Also, id love to use the AD to my Doto mod - is it ok i use the sdk(is it in the release files?)

anyway! your mod is one of the more innovative here, i hope ill play it on Friday and let the Egyptian (their my new favorites ) people rise !

I haven't merged all of it, only the parts that I thought would work well in HR. And some aren't in use yet (e.g. Active Senate).

There were a few bugs that I fixed or found fixes for. Hopefully beta testing will reveal if there are any others.

    Only briefly.

Of course. Source files are not in the current download though. I figured I'd make them available closer to actual release, once any obvious bugs are ironed out. I can post them earlier if you want though.

Thank you! I look forward to your feedback.

    cool,
    thanks for addressing all,

i have a habit of browsing through source codes of mods, just to see stuff for later use (if you can pass it privately even, that will be sweet).

i do hope the AD will be fine.

ofc, i provide whatever feed i can .

Attached the DLL Source code for those interested. For reference, the parts of Advanced Diplomacy 2 that I didn't merge are:
    • Corporate HQ Trading
    • POW Trading
    • Favourite Wonder
    • UN Vote: Prisoner Rights
    • UN Vote: Military Medicine Rights
    • UN Vote: Victim Rights
    • UN Vote: No Capital Punishment
    • UN Vote: Prohibited Weapons (wasn't actually any code to merge)

Everything else should be in there, though it seems the Nuclear Dissuasion code was never completed, at least in the version I merged (2.8). Other features have been merged but aren't currently enabled:
    • Active Senate
    • Shared Civic Attitude

Super Forts was merged completely, but again, not every feature has been used. In particular, I haven't made it so that forts can upgrade over time when garrisoned (but I may revisit this mechanic later).

    cool mr X,

    thanks a lot.

super forts, this is quite popular, i use a more ancient variation of it, which called jculture improvement mod, i prefer it to s forts.

also, i think there was a 2.9 version of ad, but stability and mp is more important i think.

as i told you one time ago, there are other nice codes i can give you which are very useful :)

    cheers !

Switching to new version made civilopedia broken a bit for me - it does not display bottom buttons (so i can't click 'back') and one last item in a list (so in civics folder i can't select multiculturalism, for example). Tried changing resolution, but it didn't help.

Do you mean that the bottom of the pedia is offscreen so you can't view them, or that it is onscreen but these things just aren't appearing where they should be? If the latter, it implies a Python error. Please enable Python Exceptions, recreate the problem and see if any error messages popup. If so, post a screenshot or your PythonErr.log.

It's the former. The bottom of the pedia screen is cut off and inaccessible.

Does pressing 'CMD-C' do anything? Please post a saved game from 1-2 turns before the freeze.

I tried the new screen replacement for CvPedia with no change to the size. Bottom is still off the screen somewhere.

No. (And I just learned you have to wait several minutes on this board between posts.)

Attached are the three last saves.

Hmm. What resolution are you running Civ at? Does the pedia fill the full height of the screen or is it partway down?

Thanks. I'll see if I can reproduce the issue.

Attached a fix for the Pedia truncation issue. Replace the file of the same name in /History Rewritten/Assets/Python/Pedia/. No need to install this if you're not experiencing this problem, it only affects people with a vertical resolution shorter than 854.
