Beta Centauri and Golden Age scenarios

Since I won't get my game till tomorrow, I was wondering if any of you have tried these and what are they like.

The Beta Centauri seems like it might be pretty good.

I haven't tried any scenarios yet, I don't think I've even bothered looking at them. I've never been a fan of scenarios though.

Having only played CivII on the PS, I have never had the opportunity to play any Civ scenarios.

Just thought they sounded interesting.

Beta Centauri is a fun one, Its wicked easy to get the 20 victories with one unit challenge on that.

Who exactly are your rival civilizations in Beta?

Random pickede from the regular 16, it looks exactly like Earth, theres just like 100000 regular weak barbs, and you start with modern infantry ^^

Beta Centauri is my favorite so far, but I haven't explored all the rest of the scenarios yet.

Is this scenario broken? I'm playing on Emperor level, and none of the AI have even built a second city yet (I'm well into the AD).
