I'll make it short.

I play as city spamming Germany (and my science, city development and happiness are really hurt by it. I think non-Tradition playing methods should all get buffs, but that's beside the point), and I got Cahokia in a peace deal from Mongolia, who conquered it. I chose to Liberate it.

Now, the lower right tab still shows production, I hover my mouse over it and it says "Cahokia awaits construction orders". Clicking it again and reloading doesn't get rid of it - I can't go Next Turn because I was a good, CS-liberating guy.

Picture because I ain't callin' myself Swagolo for no raisins

Volvo- I mean Ferexis plz fix

Can you load a save file from right before you liberated Cahokia?

What's the point? The problem will still be there. I like how the game even advertises now how badass liberation bonuses are, and it turns out it's a trap.

But yeah, autosave is on, but it would be... turn 151, I think. I can upload the bugged save, but I don't think you can put attachments here. Or rather, I don't know how.

May not help you for this particular game, but a save file from before the glitch may enable the Firaxis developers to debug the problem and fix the beta patch before it is publicly released.

To attach a save file, click on 'Go Advanced' in the reply box, which will open up a reply box with more options. If you scroll down you'll see "Additional Options." Click on 'Manage Attachments', then "Choose File," then find the right file and "Upload." Regular single-player game saves are found in your "C:\Users\[User Name]\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Saves\single" folder, and autosaves are found in the "Auto" subfolder of that same folder.

Will do it tomorrow then.

Hi,

I've just encountered a game-ending bug relating to receiving a city state as part of a peace deal, liberating it and then not being able to continue my game as it wants me to select a construction project for it.

Timeline is as follows:

1. End turn.
2. During end turn, Askia offers me Kzyzl as part of a peace treaty, which I accept.
3. I then take a look at the city before liberating.
4. While I am looking at the city, my game continues though to my turn - this includes a technology research notification.
5. I then select the Liberate option and Kzyzl becomes a city state again.
6. When my next turn begins, it comes up with the CHOOSE PRODUCTION button, the tooltip telling me to select a construction project for Kzyzl, which obviously I cannot do as it is not my city. Clicking on CHOOSE PRODUCTION has no effect at all.
7. I cannot continue with the game as it won't let me go to the next turn due to this bug.

Having re-run this a couple of times from save files, this only seems to happen if I leave a bit of time between receiving the peace offer and selecting the liberate option. If I select Liberate City immediately, before the Technology research notification screen appears for instance, the CHOOSE PRODUCTION button does not then appear and I can continue with the game.

Mike

File attached hopefully - pressing Next Turn should bring up the peace offer

Have the same problem and made a thread about it before, good I don't need to upload the savefile anymore.
