After 3 days straight of fine tuning, it's done! https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/better-maps-small-continents.32022/

This map script creates large landmasses with irregularly shaped coastlines and inland seas, or several medium-sized islands that result in a more naval-focused game.
Overall shape of continents will be far less blobby.

Oceans will consistently be quite vast. Coastlines will create multiple spines through inland seas, some of which will lead to faraway islands, while some will lead only to a dead end.

Reaching the Distant Lands in Exploration Age will generally be 4-5~ tiles of open ocean, and controlling land close to an easy passage may be rewarding.

Additionally, the map will randomise the location of the equator for each map, changing the height of the temperature belts by up to 30° latitude.

Biome generation has been mildly adjusted to reduce how far north desert can go.

Please feel free to leave feedback here in the discussion thread!

I have had trouble using this with YNAMP. It seems when this is enabled the larger maps from YNAMP are not selectable. It doesn't matter what load order I use in Vortex either.

I am extremely unsure what the issue could be if it's not Vortex. I haven't heard of people using Vortex at all for Civ 7 modding, and I created the mod based on parts of code from YNAMP.

I would highly recommend uninstalling both YNAMP and BM:SC from Vortex, then reinstalling them by extracting their .zip files to AppData\Local\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII\Mods and checking if the issue still occurs.

Been working on an update the past few days to improve the script and be properly 1.1.1 compatible (though the script is still compatible as-is!), finally seeing landmass generation I'm pretty happy with. Firaxis added a new landmass generation function that makes much more interesting elevation, but it took a while to make it stop generating ugly continent shapes most of the time.

Spoiler Update preview :

Please note, this specific continent generated much larger than usual. Most landmasses are roughly similar in size to 1.0.1 of BM:SC.

Your mod doesn't show its name when it was used in a save and is not installed anymore, unlike other map mods. This could be quite confusing, especially if someone would send me a save for troubleshooting something.

I found what causes the issue with the missing name: your modinfo has the name written directly in the modinfo instead of using the localized tag that you actually define in the ModuleText.xml file. When I put that tag in the modinfo file, it shows the correct name when I remove the mod:
