Something that really annoys me about Civ VII is the naming of advanced techs and civics as Discipline II", "Code of Laws II", "Mysticism II", etc. It sort of breaks the immersion because these are obviously not what anyone would have ever thought of them. It sounds way too much of a gamey name. Can they at least use the name like 'Advanced Mysticism" or "Advanced Code of Laws" if not coming up with a more creative name? Anyway just a small issue I have that I am wondering if it bothers anyone else or if I'm just being weird.

The only problem is if they want to have a base tech that is “Advanced….XYZ”

Reinventing the Wheel is where I drew the line.
If wheel is so good, why not wheel II?

It's a little silly, but feels like it could be easily changed/modded to something like "Advanced Axles". Same for all the other masteries.

I don't mind the mastery tech's being 'Tech II', but I cannot stand that they use the same quotes. It makes the otherwise great narration get repetitive faster than it needs to. If memory serves, techs and civics in VI had multiple quotes, selected randomly each game, and mastery techs/civics in VII would be a great place to implement some variety.

Yes, and even then they got repetitive after a couple (hundred) hours.

“From Stetin in the Baltic to Triest in the Adriatic-“

“Monay-“

“I don’t believe in Astrology.”

…just to name a few…

That would require more lines to record and we already have less in loading screen.

Yes, I'm curious about the reasoning on that too. Such short introductions just feel so empty.
