Last Update: 6/14, 2009, patch 3.17

Where BT (warlord) presents unique leader's trait,
BT3 presents HDI (human development index), promotions

Better Tomorrow: Civilization presents RESOURCES
but don't worry, what is good in BT and BT3 will still appear in Better Tomorrow: Civilizations!

Better Tomorrow: Civilization is also a neat, conceptual, and historically accuracate mod, and which means Better Tomorrow: Civilizations will be quite different and a tough game.

FOUCS
Better Tomorrow: Civilization (abbr. BTC) focus on YIELD.

Better Tomorrow: Civilization is also historical accuracy on resources.

BTC alters the very idea about yield. Food, production, commerce do no longer exist. Supply, Power, Trade take their places.

citizen, or even sacrificing people will boost the production

Then human can manipulate power from the water and wind

Laterly, human invents steam engine, the industrial age begins....

Power is quite different from Production.

Mines no longer yield lot of Power, instead, pen, watermill, windmill, factory (former workshop) generate power.

You can also dispatch your Governor to boost your production and culture.

TRADE
Spoiler :

Trade means, trade. No trade, no Trade. It means trade routes are much more important than ever!

Cottages and Trade routes are total different mechanism.

1. Trade routes are now stronger and more than origin game.

Trade route is essential for human history, especially today. No single civilizatoin can live without other civilizations. Many buildings and technology such as transshipment port, international airport, fiber optics improve the trade route.

2. Cottages generate happiness, and huge amount of TRADE on the resource.

Cottages now consume a worker.
Cottages now generate happiness.

Cottages generate huge amount of TRADE on the resources. However, player will also get no bouns from it.

Cottages means the place where people gather. Cottages now acts as a trading center, and also improve quality of live.

Improvements:
Spoiler :

1. Many improvements require money to build, roads, railroad, factory, and animal pen for historical

2. Cottages now consume a worker.

3. Cottages now generate happiness.

4. Cottages generate huge amount of TRADE on the resources. However, player will also get no bouns from it.

5. bio-energy farm and genetics farm yield huge power and food respective with 1 unhappy people.

6. solar power plant, deutrium power plant will be presented in the future (future work)

I will get a try : i have good souvenirs with this Warlords mod...

I will feedbacking this if possible....

I cant download it with IE 8.0...

That is you should have for your mod :

1 Earth Map of Standard Size or Large Size, specially studied for your mod...
With 34 Civs eventually renamed for fill habitually empty zones or Civ Earth...
You could take a 34 Civs dll...

"Marx&Engles 34 Civs Earth Map" should be nice for your mod since i discovered that normal vanilla bts 3.17 could really fit since it has no change in terrains or ressources it seems...

I will link : http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=246068 ;)

sound's interesting, going to give it a try, but i got a hunch that it needs more content, for future suggestions, I recommend you do a change on the leader's, add new leaders and add special traits that deals with this.

Thank you darkdone02!

BTC have 5 more special traits, and most original traits have been changed to fit the main idea of BTC --Yield.

Better Tomorrow series focus on mechanism design, which provides different experience on how it play.

Thank you darkdone02, I will try to add some interesting leaders and nations.:goodjob:

umm, you really should keep in mind that while yes rocks can provide you with shelter, you really can use resource elements to produce great industrial effects, and build huge things that normaly you would never be able to do because of the lack of these resources, ultimately instead of categorizing everything off, you need to instead control the impact for the type of use you're using the improvement for, otherwise it just feels clunky no matter what you do, its also important to keep in mind that just because something is a necessity for life doesn't mean that it doesn't have industrial or trade applications, just think of coal brook dale, and in the modern era, grains might also produce power depending on whether you want fuel or not. the earliest wind and water machines ground grain, that hardly lets you build things more easily, but it does let you sell a lot of bread.

I ultimately enjoyed empires mostly cash system, i found the idea that the player waits thousands of years to build a library to be a pretty lame representation. empire has you pay your gold up front, and has a nominal turn cost.

Thank you Chiyochan!

Stone do have great effect on building great wonder or many building.

And there are 4 early stage POWER source: animal pen, citizen, sacrifice, and workshop.

citizen in BTC is greatly enhanced.

when you get late stage, you can also build bio-energy farm, which yields 3 POWER :)

I recommand that you add in some info on your new things that you add in civilopedia so other's won't be lost, and also it's still missing something. It almost feel like Civ 4: BTS with just icon and trait change. We need more units, and buildings to build, including during the early era's. If you played the FfH 2 Mod, Fall Further they added something good to the economy, and how the guilds/corporation's look good on that. If your mod want to be good on economy, you need lots and lots of economical improvements to build and buildings themselves as well.

Also from what i know, you can add in some businesses that influence religion as well, I heard christains can feed the hungry in Africa, make certain buildings that influence both religions and business to make religion unique.

Er, call me crazy, but this line tells me, Darkedone that he already has new changes.

Many changes such as promotions, civics, civilizations, traits, buildings, units...and so on.
If you played Better Tomorrow series before, you would know there are lots of surprise in it!

Yeah, another Better Tommorow. And one that works with 3.17!

I don't see any grand changes like new improvements both graphical and all that.

Have you played it to the future era yet? Seriously, look at the screenshots?! It's changed a bunch of things with new Civics. Are you telling me that falls under the category of "with just icon and trait change. We need more units, and buildings to build, including during the early era's"

I'll go load it up and play for a bit. Then I'll come back here and edit my post with a lot of info for you. I assure you, especially with this line,
Better Tomorrow: Civilization presents RESOURCES
but don't worry, what is good in BT and BT3 will still appear in Better Tomorrow: Civilizations!
that things have changed.

Okay, so far, you're horribly horribly wrong. :) There are definitely new buildings. So, you're wrong. New palaces, new other buildings. Some modern buildings. Etc. Yeah, not everything is in the olden days, but this is not just an icon and trait change mod. :)
Try to play a lot more. You'll see how wrong you are.

sorry my fault!

I didn't list all my changes (too huge the change and almost impossible listing them all)

BTC have 80% content of BT3, and many many changes other than BT and BT3.

If you played BT3 before, you will know it has quite different gaming experience to original game or many mods.

however, BTC have different appeal other than BT3, so BTC have to slim a little bit.

Better Tomorrow series are mechanism-design mods, which means they are not content-rich mods.

In the other hand, Better Tomorrow series are carefully designed in gaming concept, historical accuracy, and balance.

Hope you enjoy Better Tomorrow: Civilization :D

Speaking of Better tommorow, is it possible to get Better Tomorrow 3 to work with 3.17? Please say yes! I really want to play it again without reinstalling a lot of stuff.
