Beyond the Sword "Rhyse" Scenario Shuts Down Unexpectedly

My game is repeatedly shutting down without warning, redirecting me to the desktop and making me lose all of my work. The computer is brand new--what's going on?

Can you supply some detail - what type of computer, how much RAM is installed, the OS, what version of the game you have running (i.e. have you applied the BtS 3.19 patch) etc.

2.53 Ghz, 4 Gb of memory, and yes, I've downloaded the latest patch... It especially crashes right after I conquer cities.
