A new class of tournaments called Nonreload Grand Prix (NRGP) starts on civfanatics.ru! In this kind of game you may not reload the game from a previous save file or an autosave file, BUT you may restart your game as many times as you like from the very beginning! The objective is to find the shortest way to the victory.
The save file of The first Non-Reload Grand Prix "Desert Storm " has been already downloaded by more than 60 players. This game is much fun: you have 3 Modern Armors, 1 Navy SEAL and 2 Machine gunners, and you have to conquest 7 medieval civilizations. The faster you do it, the higher will be your place in the results table.
See the bottom post of this thread for details.

We would like to invite members of CFC to participate in a non-reload tourney number 40 (NR40), a monthly contest of Civ4 players on www.civfanatics.ru (CFR) to compete with the strongest Russian-speaking players. It is also the first tourney held in Civilization: Beyond the Sword.
In NR, like in GOTM, you must play your own game without the assistance of spoilers or other information unavailable to you as a player. Apart from this, you may not reload the game from a previous save file or an autosave file including the Starting file in order to change the outcome of events in the game.
There are a few differences from regular CFC GOTM/WOTM game series which make this contest special.
First, you can select your difficulty level and download it from our server.
Second, there are some (usually 1 or 2) additional checkpoints within the game. After reaching the dates of the checkpoints, the player should save his game and submit these intermediate saves together with the final save. Then, the player is given access to the spoiler forums and can compare his intermediate results to the results of other players.
Usually the final and intermediate results of NR are based on speed in game turns considering the difficulty level of the starting save file received at the beginning of the game. But as it is the first tournament in Beyond the Sword, the participants will be ranged according to their game score.
There are also 3 special awards:
Sandals of Hermes are awarded for the fastest victory
Bronze Galosh is given for the biggest game score among the losers
Pen Master title stands for the most interesting game description in the spoiler forum
Game settings:
Civilization version: Beyond the Sword 3.13
Leader: Suryavarman II (Khmer) – Traits: Creative, Expansive; Starts with: Hunting, Mining.
Map size: Small
Game Speed: Normal
World Type: Hemispheres
Sea Level: Low
Climate: Moderate
Map was randomly generated and manually edited.
Difficulty levels: Selectable, from Warlord to Monarch
Victory: All available.
Bonus victory: N/A
Rivals: 6 random
Additional: No tribal villages, No random events.
Aim: to win by any possible way
Welcome!!!
