Before action, we seek explanation. And make sure he fires bullets first.

It doesn't matter he will be a mere figurehead anyway which is all they really want him for. The Bhutto name has a lot of brand image in Pakistan so as long as they have a Bhtto in power even if it is de jure it will still manage to draw in a lot of votes.

Of course for that he would have to actually go to Pakistan which he seems reluctant to do not that I blame him....but I think the PPP is pretty much done for. It's been broken Benair Bhutto was the real powerhouse behind it and without her the party is nothing and no threath to Musharaff or the extremists.

BTW has anyone seen her speech agains the extremists? I did it was quite powerful and passionate.

In Pakistan you have to have a at least a bachelors degree to run for PM?

Just heard that on the news.

He was most likely a target before becoming the leader.

Maybe he's going to rule from Oxford. That would certainly be interesting.

His dad must enjoy life and have a good life insurance policy on him.

    ... Good luck boy. :sniper:

This is just insane. This probably shows just how weak of a party this is if all it does is revolve around the Bhutto family.

I suppose it doesn't really matter who the head of the party is if he/she isn't allowed to have an active election campaign.

And he'd have to watch his neck at Oxford, too. There are a few radical Islamic clerics in in that neck of the woods, I understand (the UK, not Oxford!).

From what I hear, he hasn't been in Pakistan since he was ten years old (which would coincide with Benazir's self-imposed exile, actually). He'll need some serious primers if he ever hopes to take an active leadership role.

    From the Guardian:

I don't think anybody's talking about him being PM, he's just a figurehead. Didn't the PPP already more or less decide on a candidate? Not Bhutto's husband, he's a non-starter. Or at least he should be.

It says it's from his friends pages. Wouldn't be very hard to do. I have a feeling this kind of thing is gonna get much more common. This one isn't particularly sinister, although I don't imagine the PPP would like it being out there.

    Ahh, that makes sense.

Too right. The Prime Ministers of 30 years time will probably be on facebook at the moment, and I doubt the internet is going to be deleted...
