Biden announces he is running for re-election 2024

No, sports fans root for a game-team without fail. Party-dogs **** on their neighbors on command.

leaving behind a potus not just no one elected, but no one would ever elect.
I disagree with this on the basis that people have the choice of rejecting a candidate based on their vice presidential nominee and their projected health.

Whether or not they choose to exercise this, I don’t think it has ever been so tenuous that someone may not be able to serve out their full term.

Biden looks set to either kill himself by running at his age, or (in the hypothetical where he does get reelected) retire unceremoniously only months into his second term, leaving behind a potus not just no one elected, but no one would ever elect.
The only people who ever say stuff like this are people who haven't actually watched Biden deliver an entire speech but instead just watch Youtube clips someone else sends them.

I love those clips! This is my favorite one with Joe Biden:

I've seen people refer to LBJ. Which imo is a bad idea, since he became potus by default. Party-dogs (idiomatic phrase; just means sports-like fans of a political party) will be ok with it, but it beats the point of democracy/elections.
there are plenty of 80's+ people who are still active-peter cullen,John williams and Harrison Ford. And in terms of leader the current pope is older than Joe. It is kinda funny why you ain't worried about leadership of Republicans when "good old Mitch" is older than Joe by a year.

Purely anecdotally, it was this consideration in 2008 - thinking McCain was one heartbeat away from death and Palin was a nut - which prompted my ruby-red uncle to vote Democrat in 2008, 2016, and 2020. My uncle loved McCain as a fellow Vietnam veteran, but despised Palin.

One thing common among over 80 year olds is that they tend to die soon in rather large percentage. That said, if you want to be a sports fan, it's your right.

None of people I listed are sports person... so what?
Also if you are worried about Biden... you should also be worried about Trump and Mitch. Trump isn't that much younger than Biden and Mitch is actually older than Biden.

You'd be right: no one who'd be retired by now if it wasn't for politics should be in politics. Move over and make room.

And too bad right now... there isn't enough noticeable young politicians to retake this oldies positions.. I mean who can replace Biden and Mitch as a leader? Right now?

No one gives af about Mitch, Kupe. If he dies, he is to be replaced by others in that legislative body. He isn't there with a successor attached :p
The sports comment meant something else; basically a metaphor for supporting the party as a fanatic.

All I am saying is that age shouldn't matter and that there are plenty of people in 80's who are capable in their jobs. and need I remind people that one of modern conservative hero in US politics was REALLY old for his time?

Age most certainly should matter. Unless the person is exceptionally bright, they are corroded and incapacitated when as old as Biden or your favorite Mitch.
Yes, there are a few very intelligent and lucid over 80-year-olds; it is the exception. If you think Biden is one of them, you just project your wishes, the man routinely speaks in sentences that make no sense.

To be clear, Trump is trash too, including his stupid speech. The focal point here was Biden being removed even if he gets reelected, and getting a vastly unpopular person (Harris) as potus.

right....:mischief: he makes better speech than Trump who is 4 years younger than him.

Eh, sports-fan attitude bores me, sorry. The point was about Harris, and I think it has been presented already, so that's it for me.
I am just saying that Biden is over-hated for his age. criticize him on his policies and his actions but I think attacking him for his age is bit unfair.

advanced age=>death=>potus being someone unpopular
what about him?
