Thats simply ridiculous. If only a small portion are racist, then they will be pointed out for being so. However, for the government to be racist and actually institute racist policies, then the majority will have to be racist in order to enact those policies.

Remember, our government works on a MAJORITY basis....not a 'small portion' basis.

The 'blacks are always the thugs' thing is so pre-80's. Since then, in movies there have been more black police chiefs, FBI agents and Mayors in movies than there was in all the real life major US cities. In 'wild west' movies made today there are black cowboys who aren't treated any differently. Roles originally scripted for a white man is reserved for a black man so the movie has a mix of races and not be accused of racism.

 

Just for the record, Sammy Davis Jr. was black and a jew, and he died broke.

Well, I'm not into the shared guilt trip so much. I know we vote and we get the government we "allow" but I hold a small clique of politicians and their bureaucratic and corporate allies and much of the "mainstream" media responsible. We dont really have constitutional gov't (much less democratic), our government lies to us and keeps us ignorant. Most of those people would not have died on 9/11 if our "leaders" kept us informed about the threat they were inducing in the ME. The people on all 4 planes would have prevented the attack had they known AQ was determined to attack us within the USA and that the use of hi-jacked planes would be a likely means.

I see a big difference, one church enabled and protected pedophiles for decades while another is guilty of making a few false and/or controversial claims about the gov't.

AQ didn't exist long before they started attacking us. It was formed in the aftermath of the Russian pull out of Afghanistan. When Saddam invaded Kuwait OBL offered the Saudis AQs services to repel Saddam should he invade Saudi Arabia. The Saudis went with us instead and AQ did not start attacking us while we waged the first Gulf War. They did start attacking us after it became clear we weren't leaving after the war and would stay to enforce sanctions and resolutions against Saddam.
