I know that America has been placed in the middle of the list as a domination type civilization,
but if you would follow this guide and practice this technique then I can promise you that you
would have the most easiest time of a domination victory. :goodjob:
It is a good idea to put on some Bruce Springsteen on right about now as you are guaranteed
to feel proud if you were born in the USA. :groucho:

(I have practiced this specific walk though in detail in marathon and epic game pace and had a
very easy time to win except for that one game which had neighbor shaka and a warmonger japan
And this is not a multiplayer strategy, it works on immortal AI and gets easier with a friend if
You can find one to play with you)

America has a river start bias (important) but that is not enough. They need to have hills and pastures
or deer camps. You might have to reset the game a few times or change some options.
Your first job is to simply found the 3 important cities you will need for production. One of them will
presumably be your capitol if there are not many good spots. You should go for extra cities if you
find that you can afford them.(in terms of happiness, science, culture..etc). Once you have checked
your list of founding 3 cities that have a high potential production it is time to stick to the game and
not retire/give up. You can still win with only 3 home cities.

Now that you know how to prepare the cities, it is time to learn how to prepare your social policy.
This is a bit incoherent and does not have unity but it works if you just believe in it.
Open Tradition.
Next get Oligarchy if you have the need to station in your base and they are high maintenance or
there is a warmonger near you. You should skip Oligarchy and instead unlock Aristocracy because
you do not want to be competing with your important wonders that you strictly need.
After those 2 policies you need to open and finish the whole Liberty tree. You will earn a free great
person of your choice. Here is the tricky part... Should you get an engineer or general? You can
find the answer later in the wonders guide I promise. Continuing on to the policies you are free to
choose what you need, but I would recommend opening and finishing the Honor tree before trying
to finish the tradition tree. (you need 2-3 generals for your wars and stronger combat performance!)
You will probably win before you can fill your honor tree so choose wisely what you unlock.

City check. Social Policies check. Now for the wonders and great engineers. In the beginning of a
game you should research for your luxuries around you in time for when you need the happiness.
Throughout the start to 1000AD you will need to keep happiness low as possible, but not negative.
So prioritize which techs you finish. And while building up you will need some trade and gold!
Sell excess luxury resources if you have too much happiness. As well as prepare techs for these
wonders which you MUST get. 1) Temple of Artemis 2) Pyramids 3) Great wall. These shall prepare
your great engineers. You will need to get 3 engineers and turn them into manufactures
one each in your 3 important cities. Consider getting an early workshop with a specialist and a
garden/national epic. You need all 3 manufactures to be worked by the time you research
minutemen. So get a calculator out. on an epic pace (everything x1.5 more expensive) you will need
to accumulate a total of 100x1.5 + 200x1.5 + 300x1.5 = 900 GPP into engineers and with your
+3 from wonders and +3 from specialists and +25% +25% from garden and national epic then
you will be generating +9gpp. As I stated before, if you still come late with the engineer then
just use the liberty to get the 3rd engineer. Once you have gotten all your mandatory wonders then
you are free to build what you need. save your gold to prepare for heavy debt. keep your happiness
low. Try to rush the minutemen to have them ~400 years earlier than everyone else. Et Voila
You have the ball in your court. You should be producing 3 minutemen every 5 turns in total and
by 50 turns you would have 30 minutemen or less with other support units and you are ready
to win the game. The first war you have must be against the richest person in the game.
Your second priority is the ones with large militaries. Last priority are the ones close to a culture
victory. I doubt there are any science/Diplomatic victories in 1100-1500AD they are the very
last priority to attack.

Your unique unit minutemen are really awesome and deserve more credit. They receive wonderful free bonuses and with an armory you can add another 2 upgrades of your choice! And assuming you have 30 minutemen you should also assume you can kill 30 other units (at least strength each 12) that will add at least 360 to your golden age. It is little, but if you know how to control happiness you wont have a problem with earning quick and many golden ages. the most important part is getting the +20% production and you want to get it when you researched chemistry and producing cannons and a few extra minutemen.
There is little chance any civilization will be able to survive this horde and keep up. America will only get stronger as everyone else gets weaker. Demand gold and luxury resources from the weak and bullied civs and make outrageous needs on a peace treaty and march on to the next victim!
There is a very small chance of failing at this stage typically if you are fighting 3 or more wars at a time with military competent opponents. America is a flower that blooms twice! Once you researched b17 bombers no one has a chance left. Use them to destroy the cities health and take it over with a melee unit (with cannon/artillery cover). go for total domination. not a city left un turned! raze what you do not need/slows you down.

Weaknesses: very vulnerable early game, even with your great wall. You will lose if someone pillages your city while your armies are away. You will have a lot of debt, you are only surviving on the gold you manged to save in the early game, if you were not making enough or spending it youll be in trouble while going on your conquest. The bonus gold from capturing cities is not enough to keep you fueled! Do not be deceived! You will lose LOSE if the enemy has a better military unit (usually late game units which are stronger than the minutemen).

Foes :people who like to pillage like Spain and Denmark. (other too as well as cavalry units). People who make large armies like germany, zulu, china...etc And high science civs which are only a few...

Friends : in team games... Civs that can protect America in the early game and provide them gold/production/food as well as religion and science. so civs like Venice which can send all routes to either help them with growth and production or to trade with others and give the gold over. Boudicca who can provide early game religion and protection. Korea who will help get minutemen before 1000AD. Arabia who will protect, give religion, as well as put a lot of gold and luxury resources into their pockets!

Let me add that Poland is a very terrible foe to face. Although he was an AI he took 2 of my general and I had to retreat my left over general.
The winged hussar will push your military unit back, and the winged hussar will capture and kill your great general if it breaks through!
