Black Screen Error!!!!

I've played a couple of hours in a single player Campaign.
I saved the game!
When I load my save game I am only able to play around 2 minutes (3-4 turns). The Screen goes black! Civ music plays in the background but none of the Windows keyboard command respond and the only way to exit is to shut down the power!!!!!

Im running:
AMD Turion 1,8 Ghz
1 GB DDR RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon x700 (128 mb)

Ive got the latest driver update for my graphics card! Catalyst Control Center 6.3!!!!

WHAT THE ****!!!???!!!!!
I feel ripped off!!!
Could somebody please tell me why this bullfeathers is happening???? I Dont buy games to often and when I buy one, I want the God damn game to work!!

It happens the same to me with the latest nvidia drivers. I have a 6600 GT.

Apparently with the latest non beta ati driver you must disable antialias bias. Then it works. There's another thread in bugs -- check if that's your driver.
