George Bush has just awarded the Freedom Medal to Prime Minister Tony Blair of the United Kingdom. What do you think? Is it deserved? Does it matter? Do you care? Or does this cartoon by Steve Bell in the Guardian really sum it up?

And Blair is supposed to be some kind of special envoy to the middle eastern peace process.

And at the same time that Palestinians are being butchered,
he's back in the US with his lord and master collecting a piece of tin.

Very sharp perspective.

The US Medal of Freedom is not a piece of tin.

He has been in negotiations with both sides since the conflict started...

I want the Polluting Medal of Pollution myself. Oh, well.

Is that what passes as charicature in Britain?

"Caricature" possibly. As Bell is the first cartoonist who portrayed Bush as an ape, and Blair as a lap dog with one staring eye, at least he's original. Perhaps you know of a better one?;)

Seriously?

A whole thread for a Bush caricature?

Is he supposed to look like an ape? Do apes have pointy mouths?

How can this thread still be open? It's a dupe thread (+ caricature that could be posted there).

Yeah, that about sums it up

Teh butcher of Baghdad decorting his faithful, un-British little lapdog twit with a crappy little piece of metal on ribbon for services againt humanity, I suppose
