I receive the following blue screen error when attempting to run Civ 4.
"A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated
STOP: 0x000000F4 (0x00000003, 0x83942430, 0x839425A4, 0x80604450)"
I recently purchased the game and installed without problems, but the BSOD occurs whenever I attempt to run the game. I did not find a similar issue listed in the sticky threads, but if it exists please point me to it.
My computer is a Dell Inspiron 5160, it is capable of running the game according to the system requirements. It does have an Nvidia video card, which I have seen refered to in connection with other problems.
If anyone has any information on the problem, or, preferably, a work around, please post.
