BNW Technical Problems - doesn't start

Hey, so here is the situation. Yesterday, I was having problem making BNW work, as a .dll file was absent from the Expansion2 file. However, I simply copied the .dll file from the first Expansion to the second one (changing the name, ofc), but, even if the game works, there are still technical issues. First off, the lower left menu from which there are the options to found a city for instance, to move, delete unit, etc. is not there. Also, the menu to choose a unit/building to build is not there in any cities for me, nor is the one to buy stuff. And the icon above the units that show what they are, isn't there, like the flag for the settler. Finally, on the upper bar of the screen, where the happiness, faith, gold per turn is, etc. I only see stuff like: HAPPINESS!, GOLDEN AGE!, FAITH!, etc. with no conter whatsoever. And the number of turns is like 000,000.

I've tried verifying integrity of the cache, but it just downloads a 9.1 mb file, which does nothing in the game; and, after I download it, and try to launch the game it says finalizing the installation, then gets stuck at 1% and an error 55 shows up.

Can anyone help?

Moderator Action: Moved to tech support.

Please try to delete the copied Dll, and then verify the integrity again. Hopefully this will download the correct dll.

I did what you said, it downloaded then a 601 mb file saying I lacked like 6000 files, but it did nothing (and the game game back to G&K) and if I put BNW back it still lacks the above mentioned elements.

You're not running this on Wine (for Linux) are you? I'm having the exact same problem and I thought it might be because I'm not using Windows, but if you're having the same issue then I doubt it.
I've tried verifying and reinstalling, and quite a bit and I have no solution.

EDIT: Also, none of the new civs are showing up on the new game screen, even though it's skinned like BNW.

So the steps I took were:

1) Completely deinstalling Civ 5
2) Creating a new user account with administrator permissions
3) In the new user account, completely dump anything to do with Steam
4) Re-download Steam and install it
5) Install Civ 5
6) Verify the game cache
7) Launch game

Is your copy from US or Canada? If not, that is why it's not pulling the DLL. The rest of the world releases tomorrow, and that's when the DLL will come down.

Even after the game was released to Europe (and I had the US version), it's doing the same.

Autokrator48, have you fixed yours?
