help, how do you get a settler and a worker or warrior on to a boat (of any kind) and get that boat to land them in another place? I've been playing without doing that (because I didn't know how) but yesterday, I found myself in a situation where another civ had blocked any hope of expansion and there was only space for me to build two cities on a peninsula. U can only build those useless galleys to start with and they can't go very far anyway... geez .. I was so desperate tho, I'd have put a settler on a galley if I knew how. Yes, I've studied the manual and I can't find it there:cry:

It is very easy. Put the galley near the cost, and when it is time for your settler to go just take it on the galley. But don't forget that you should first take your settler one square adjacent to the galley than send it in. (you can't say go into the galley when you are 2 or more square away from it).
I wish I explained it briefly.

To load a boat, you can leave it in a city, and then move your unit into the same city and click on the load button (bottom of screen), or you can do as above, and "walk" your unit directly into the boat if it is next to the shore.

To unload, just move the boat into a land square and a menu will pop-up asking if you want to unload all units or if you want to select one for this task.

In addition if you move your boat next to a landsquare, rightclick it, select 'Wake xxx in boat' and move this unit on land. Works even when the galley had used all its movementpoints

Good Luck :)
