Bonaparte II Tournament Game #1 PBEM

While Sweden may think they have mastered the art of war, it is Prussia that will have to prove them wrong. With the loss of the scouting party outside Stralsund, the main bulk of the army moved forward and crushed the garrison in the city. With the exception of the fort, the city was poorly defended indeed. It was apparent that Sweden used bomb ketch in the attack, and they where swiftly sunk at port.

Along the French front, the gains from last month is being consolidated while reinforcements have been brought in from Berlin.

Nothing to report in Russia.

Brittish 2 decker sunk at the mouth of the themes...

Defence of London significantly strengthened, several fresh troops shipped to both Dover and London.

An unfortunate french Uhlan discovers that Tunis was defended by a fortress and not infantry as was expected (but he also manages to get the fort's HP bar into the very last bit of yellow!).

Apart from this I've gotten reports of the fact that the napoleonic legend is growing into monstrous proportions...

Fantastically-profitable Silver coin from the Spanish Americas shipped to the French occupying forces in London to provide their pay.

However, unwilling to get caught in the Franco-British crossfire, Spain has declared (following Russia's lead) strict neutrality in the conflict sweeping Europe. As our alliance with France would be incompatible with this neutrality, said alliance has been terminated, and French troops escorted back to their borders.

British forces in Portugal are reminded that any trespass into Spanish territory would be an act of war, and the alliance would be re-instated.

- An amphibious force has captured Esbjerg, costing the Prussians two foot artillery batteries and a regiment of musketeers, with only one bomb ketch lost on the Swedish side. With Jutland secured our operation against Copenhagen is only one turn away...

- A communique has been sent to the commander of Russia's Black Sea Fleet, requesting that the Bosphorus be opened this month so that the sailors of our merchantman can return to their families (or more likely drown in British waters on the way home ;)).

French merchantman sunk in the Mediteranean.

British forces formulate strong defenses upon the isles. The invaders shall not move forward easily.

The Swedish fleet positioned east of Esbjerg was defeated by the Prussian navy. All Swedish ships in the area was sunk without mercy.

Esbjerg was sadly burned to the ground. It seems the Swedish forces used the scorched earth tactic when they saw superior Prussian forces advance on the city.
