Austria does not want to do anything to offend its French neighbours, but we need your help to stop the war with Russia. France has done nothing to in terms of trying to help with a peace treaty, and any diplomatic effort on Frances behalf would be most welcome.

Austria I willing to keep its troops on a continued defensive operation, if France will make some effort in solving the crisis that has the potential to engulf the European continent in a terrible war.

The Austrians speak most sensibly. Surely there are enough opportunities for expansion and glory in Europe and against the Turk, without the Great Christian Powers squabbling amongst themselves....? And France, as the pre-eminent military power amongst us, can do more than Britain with her navy, try as we might.

However, it goes without saying that Britain will go to war with any nation declaring against either of our Coalition partners. We would rather see war than see Austria, then Prussia, go down.

We will also take strong measures to defend Swedish independence.

Sorry guys; the one thing the Russian Autocrat can't control is the demanding curriculum at his high school, which recently prevented me from going online for a full five days. Now if only I could send those examiners to the gulag... ;)

Tell me about it. Better watch out, if someone takes a Russian city I might have a coronary and you'd need a new player :D

...more an question of "when", not "if" should you persist in this war on 3 1/2 fronts!

Russia fears that it is the British who have lost all sanity. Whatever has happened to the famous business sense that built up the greatest commercial empire in the world the Tsar can only guess. Perhaps, like the dinosaurs, the haughty islanders and their tyranny are simply obsolete and their hour has come. We're not worried; the Russian star is always ascendant.

We reiterate: we have no desire at all to 'overwhelm' Austria. We have responded to Austrian aggression against the Orthodox peoples of the Balkans and legally declared war after the Hapsburgs showed a complete disrespect and rejection of our reasonable demands.

Any members of the Coalition entertaining thoughts of striking into Russian territory had best drop such thoughts immediately; such a move would only bring our ally France into the war, which would put you minor powers in more hot water than you could probably stand. If you all truly care about the welfare of your people, cease putting them between Russia and her Orthodox brethren. We will gladly make peace when Austria acedes to our perfectly legitimate demands; until then however, the blood of the patriots you have sent into aggression against the Rodina will continue to sully your greedy, grasping hands.

(Nothing much going on, as unbelievable as that may sound. Some Prussian and Austrian units killed in East Poland and Ruomania, a Swedish frigate sunk in the Baltic.)

Well, I guess Russia wants a fight. She shall have one. Don't expect English voices of moderation to prevail in Coalition councils when Russian cities start fallling, that's all....

As Austria and Prussia are most affected by a possible attack by France, we shall of course leave such a decision to them, jointly. We have already issued our strategic advice in the matter, but in any case, Britain will stand by them.

French Troops Go into Action Along the Rhine and Danube

The French government is pleased to report that the fortress city of Cologne has been stormed by the brave troops of the Army of the Rhine.

The experiance gained in this attack has already been put into practice with the planned attack on Ulm being canceled after forward elements of the Army of the Danube were fired on by the city's fortresses. The attack will be re-launched next month after siege artillery is brought up to silence these fortifications.

Preparations are also being made for an assault on the city of Kassel.

    More Mediterranean Cities Fall!

French troops operating with the Mediterranean fleet have siezed the cities of Naples and Cagliari. This all but ends the Mediterranean campaign and the bulk of the army of Italy will be shortly redeployed to other areas.

Austria is supriced by the lack of response conserning the war with Russia.

Does this mean that France will maintain its position, and do nothing to help stop this war? As you know Austria, Prussia and Breat Britain have all listened to your ultimatum and done our best to not offend France. Our position is still that we will do our utmost to keep the atmosphere constructive and civilized.

But the lack of ANY French involvement except making threats will get us nowwhere. Unless France is looking for an excuse to start a war, you should do something to end this war. If not for our sake, why not for your ally Russia. You must realice that Russia is rapidly running out of troops, and this will only hurt France as it's ally in the long run.

Please make some effort in this matter!

    To the American minister:

Our war against the barbary pirates has taken an evil turn, USS Philadelphia has been captured by the pirates!

Yes, tis true, this proud vessal, after having taken the Morrocan corsair Mirboka off Tangier, was sent, along with USS Vixen to begin preliminary blockade of Tripoli.
While maintaining station, the ship, under master comandant Captain William Bainbridge ran aground on an uncharted shoal.
The crew , through frantic efforts, attempted to back sail, pump ballest, even jettison guns to free itself, all to no avail, I regret to report.
Bainbridge had to surrender himself, 22 officers and 315 other ranks, as well as the Philidelphia.

Preble says he will rectify this sorry state of affairs when the Constituition and the other ships of his squadron arrive.

    Sincerly,
    Benjamin Stoddert,
secretary of the United States Navy.

Once again all of what is known as Finland bellong to Sweden!
In a brilliantly percieved attack Swedish forces siezed controll of the russian fortress of Viborg , on new years eve 1804.
The russian troops, consisting mostly of finnish conscripts surrendered after a short fight.
Sweden however has merely begun to take back what was lost during the wars of Gustav III and Karl XII as a small force equiped with siege howitzers is now laying siege to Kexholms fortress just outside St. Petersburg...

Ebsjerg taken! The Danish campaign begins with a swift victory, as the Royal Navy shells the defenders out of the town. The Royal North Dragoons, with artillery support, rout two more Danish regiments.

Gijón is bombarded by the Light Division and falls without strong resistance. Many more troops have been disembarked in the port now it is ours. (A Spanish Musketeer and Dragoon Regiment, plus a Transport, destroyed. No significant casualties amongst the Royal Artillery making the attack, or any other British forces.)

A daring raid by the 14th Light Dragoons surprises Spanish guns (Howitzer Battery) setting up for the reduction of Portuguese fortresses outside Oporto - and wipes them out! The Portuguese Army, together with a leavening of British troops, is assembling for counter-strikes near Badajoz and Oporto to assist the campaign.

Many shiploads of Copper arrive in French Ports - and the French Capital. Sugar from Indian plantations arrives in Edinburgh. Huge profits are made all round...:)

Today Prussian forces began their siege of Brest-Litovsk, the mighty fort withstood barrages by Prussian artillary, but after a three week siege the Russians capitulated and Prussian troops took the fort.

In other news a barrage by Prussian artillary outside Kongisberg managed to inflict severe damage on a Russian Musketeer regiment effectively taking it out of commission.

In the Baltic a damaged Russian Ship of The Line was intercepted and sunk by a Prussian Ship of The Line.

Austria congratulates Prussia on the capture of Brest-Litovsk. This is a day that will be remembered for a long time. Austria feels that Frances lack of commitment for peace have sealed Russias faith. There can be no longer any doubt that the only way to end this war is to defeat Russia in its own territory.

Austrian forces motivated by Prussias progress is gearing up for an offensive against Russia. Austria will strike where it hurts the most and keep the initiative.

*Minor scirmish near Kishinev, destroying one Russian Foot Artillery and one Russian Infantry Division. Austrian infantry backed by cavalry and artillery is advancing towards Kishinev with the intention to capture the city.
