Sorry guys, but I'm going to do some diplomacy first.
Btw. I noticed that Prussia and I are at war. Is this real, or is it just that the AI messed up and declared war?

The cities of Cologne and Oldenburg were captured by our republican army.

Some minor skirmishes between French and English ships result in a sunken two-decker west of Brest, the sinking of 2 merchantmen southwest of Cork (the trader was also destroyed)*, and the heavy damaging of a frigate in the middle of the Northsea.

Small raids on Plymouth, Exeter and Portsmouth manage to kill 2 fortified two-deckers, 1 east-indiaman and a funny looking regiment in Exeter. (what kind of units are those????,)

That's all for this turn. :)

*Spain: when I discovered the stack, I also saw a stack to the Northeast of the other one, with a two-decker and some other units. I believe it's heading for Spain, so keep your eyes open. :) It's location is (19,61)1
**Spain: a damaged English frigate can be found on (17,79)1

Thanks for the tips, M. l'Empereur! I expect an invasion fleet is indeed on the way, but:

    1) Having just done it myself in Game #2, I know the best ways to stop it, and

    2) This will just leave the islanders open for your invasion across the channel!

Spain is prepared to take on her share of the burden in defeating the shopkeepers...;) However, I will not take out the frigate as it would just lead to a lost warship (there is a big stack just behind it, perhaps with a landing force). My Northern squadron is best used for defending my harbours. Unless they have brought LOTS of artillery, they will find my ports tough nuts to crack...

A Rapid Reaction Force with many Horse Artillery batteries (many on loan from our dear ally, France) are waiting in the Galician hills to push any invader back into the sea....

Spain's best contribution to the common struggle would be to slaughter the British on the beaches, I think.

The Royal Navy arrived with the first part of the task force set aside for the liberation of Portugal this month. More than 15 ships took part in the largest amphibious assault ever seen today.

*Line infantry backed with Cavalry landed outside Corunna and proceeded to attack the city immediately. After a number of attacks the city fell to the British forces. The main part of the task force could then sail directly into the city and unload it's cargo.
The fresh forces disembarking in Corunne immediately moved south and attacked Oporto. This strategy was a huge sucess, and the city fell after a short battle.

    Summary: Corunna and Oporto captured

*Forces stationed in the fortress outside Lisbon attacked the Spanish occupation forces in Figureira, and drove them out of the city. The city is now under British controll again.

*In the atlantic, a small force captured Reykjavik.

*In the British channel, All French vessels where sunk without mercy.

*French Foot Artillery and Dragoon killed near Oldenburg.

If Spain wishes to talk peace, they are welcom to Lisbon for talks.

    Sofia Taken!

The barbarian fortress city of Sofia has finally fallen to the Austrian Army. While the city's defenders had defeated earlier Austrian assults, they had no answer for the massive, three pronged bombardment which was unleashed upon them. While Austrlian casualties were high, the rewards were great.

In other news, the Italian city of Pescara has also been captured.
