Has any one else used a peacekeeper strategy? I have taken to encircling weak civs under attack by medium sized ones to keep them from getting squashed when its not my advantage. Does consume a lot of units. But i had about 50 spare captured workers so i got into blockading. This is a great techniques for closing off empty terrain til u want to settle it as well. Right now i have 400 units approx employed as peacekeeprs on a huge map .:egypt:

I remember doing that a number of times in Civ II, but that was with (as I recall) ZOC's. WithOUT ZOC's it would have to be a real pain in the neck, like so much in Civ III.
