Bordering Civs are almost the same color on Strategic Map

I just started a game as The Netherlands and my nearest neighbor is Songhai. I use strategic map-mode a lot and The Netherlands and Songhai are very close in political color. Unfortunately the other civs which border each other in my current game are also very close in color.

Is there anything I can do to a saved game to change a civ's color to something more easily distinguishable from it's border civ? Thanks in advance.
