I settled 1W on the marble. By 1AD have 7 wonders in the capital (GW, SH, Mids, Oracle, MoM, GLib, ToA) while Hanging Gardens is due in 2 turns. The Dutch are no more, got 4 cities from them. Decided to get Construction from the Oracle just to make the acquisition process a bit more smooth. Just declared on the Persians and got a first city. 5 cities of Carthaginian origin so 10 in total, 48 pop.

1AD: 14 cities, 53 pop, 246 bpt@100%, 100 bpt sustainable (40%). All the "c-techs" and paper are in, oxford next turn.

Wonders: Oracle, GW and HG are done. Pyramids coming (I hope) in 2 turns.

Declared war on Hannibal this turn with 8 cats + 8 axe/sword/mace. Should take his 5 cities in ~20 turns.

Everything in this game whent wrong so I gave up!

The start was good, no issues with barbs, early decided to go for HA war against wilhelm (perfect target, close by and good lands). The turn before I was to settle a nice horse/gem city the Korean settled a city 2 tiles away from the horses. I still settled with the horses in my inner culture radius, and since Korea didnt have any religions, I felt pretty safe to keep the horse without a monument. All went smoothly up to 4 cities, got Horseback riding, startet to build HA, everything seemed fine, Wilhelm, my target, even got Stonehenge! It all went to pieces when Korea decided to borderpop and stealing my only source of horses. I might have been able to get it back in a 15-20turns time (whipping monument), but the momentum was gonne and 15-20 turns is just too long time in such a crusial part of the game! Well, can't win every time I guess =)

    Played this one, too.

Settled on the marble 1W and got the 2nd city on the coastal plains hills.

There was little food in our starting area so I targeted Willem early.
First for a couple of worker steals and then to capture his two cities. That gave us a nice belly-shaped Empire, in the middle of the map.

Oracled Alphabet to get trades, sell techs, etc.
The Maya are isolated and are the next target.
Have a nice Hindu block for friends (Darius, Elizabeth & Wang).

    14 cities, 52-53 pop,
+262 :science: or +97 :gold: when using full sliders.

Never got an Academy but a Great spy and a Great prophet...
... Actually, I never hired a scientist... Wonders are very hammer-hungry and I also needed settlers, workers, swordsmen, etc. I didn't find the spare hammers for GPs.
On this account, I also don't have very many improved tiles, due a) to a shortage in workers and b) to chops.

So this is rather infra-light and I don't have much tech.
I could trade for Philosophy and Machinery but don't have Education, yet (traded liberally to advance the AIs).

Few pics, including Empire, stats and wonders :
    Spoiler :

Not sure where I'm going from there. Probably Scientific Method and maybe Mass Media.

Thanks, I did my best to play by the rules
2 cities took care of the wonder committment so far. The first two cities, high production ones.
But... for the Aesthetics-Code of Laws-Classical Era wonders, I'll need to devote about a handful.

I have 8 wonders in the captial and GLH+colossus in a coastal city.
Guaranteed to get every wonder in the game I think, but I doubt I will have the time/energy to finish now that the hard work is done.
