Somewhere in my downloaded .jpg folder I have a copy in poster format. It's one of my best copyright infringements ever.

Well, she hasn't resigned yet. We have another two weeks of useless lame duck leadership first, unless Graham Brady pushes her off before then.

I think she has resigned, and started crying. The press responded by laughing at her.

(According to my workmate who is listening to it live, more here I guess.)

    It probably won't happen.

But if it does, it will make him a hero; amd may even lead to riots.

People here won't take kindly to putting peaceful campaginers for self determination in gaol.

That is the kind of thing that goes on in places like Spain (Catalonia) and China (re Tibet).

It is a very ominous step.

Once they start putting people in prison for sounding off inaccurately, none of us are safe.

I'm not sure that even Boris could come up with a more pleasant way of casting his constant lies and that's essentially his day job!

There is a little distinction between merely sounding off inaccurately and ignoring court and police instructions.

Not that I am a supporter of imprisoment in those other two examples.

Fair enough, but in a world where you can literally leave the job in hours if you feel so inclined (c.f. David Cameron), spinning it out another two weeks just so that you exceed Gordon Brown's tenure is a decidedly shabby thing to do. Besides, she's explicitly been a lame duck for two months now, possibly even longer, so now we have a lame duck and another competition to see who can become the next un-elected Tory PM.

    That is interesting.

According to the BEEB, we in the UK are not allowed to know anything about the results:

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-48371760

Perhaps an instance of rules made on the continent only being applied on the island.

So if I create a poll thread here, and ask people here how they voted, I go to gaol.

Perhaps not, not sure I could survive sharing a cell with the Boris.

I rather think that would depend upon how long a gaol sentence he would get, and whether they keep rolling on the extension.

I doubt that people will just go out and start a riot.

They would start off with the "Free The Boris" placard etc protest marches, but they would degenerate into riots.

Beliefs and opinions you disagree with are not necessarily lies.

The £350 million/week has already been discussed incessantly in public for three years.

I'm curious as to why we are supposed to be cowed by the threat of Brexit demonstrations (and alleged riots) when left-of-centre demonstrations are totally ignored by the governments of the time, e.g. the Iraq War demonstration or the recent climate change protests.

I am not sure who is expecting you to be cowed by the threats of Brexit demonstrations.

Regarding the Iraq war, the Iraqis impacted were not, alas, in London to protest.

Regarding climate change, the UK government has responded to the issue over the last decade.

If Boris goes to jail he will have time to write a book. Like another imprisoned german politician did :)

He can even get tips by fellow incarcerated tory J. Archer.

And Jonathan Aitken, another Tory ex-jailbird, who sadly is now to be seen pontificating on TV as if he were an elder statesman and not someone convicted of perjury.

Regression to the glory of the 19th century

I saw BTW in that article that "Failing Grayling" was also responsible for the wrecking of the prisons quality.
