Hello! I didn't like the use of just a crown for Britain's symbol - it felt too generic given Britain is just one of many monarchies.
I wanted a national symbol that felt more specific to Britain, so I made a mod that implements the Portcullis instead.
The portcullis originated as a royal badge inherited by the Tudors from House Beaufort. It was used to decorate much of the interior of Westminster Palace (home of Big Ben). When Westminster Palace became the seat of Parliament, its name and portcullis symbol became synonymous with Parliament.
Given this Civ represents Britain in the era of parliamentarism, I felt this made an excellent symbol.

Installation: Extract the zip folder to [Drive]:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII\Mods
A known issue is that the updated icon won't apply to the 3D flags that appear behind leaders in diplomacy screens. I believe these aren't possible to update until they provide full modding support, but please let me know if you've found a way!
