Today I play Civ 4 BTS 3.13 with my two friends through Direct IP. Works great when I connect my ethernet cable directly to my DSL modem. Problem is I have a home network and want to use my router.
Today, when I want to play civ I connect directly to my modem bypassing the router and manually type in all of my Network ID in Network Connections. Then when I want to do anything on my other computers at home I reconnect the router and set the Network Connections to obtain IP automatically (from router). Yuck! (but it works).
It's a D-Link Router Model DIR-615
I want to always use my router. I've opened the port 2056 with UDP and LAN IP 192.168... and my friends still cannot connect. What am I missing?
