[BtS] Amra's Modpack v3 for Beyond the Sword

Still can`t get that bug mod working. what a pain.

BTW, is that Conan music yours, Amra, after I installed the patch it was playing. I ask, because i`m not sure if it may be my soundtrack which I also have on my PC that may have somehow got into the game!

Sorry to hear about the BUG problems with your install. They are working on a new version that promises to finally fix any problems with CIV Complete. Hopefully they will come thru.

The Conan music is from the 1st movie's soundtrack and plays by design. It is titled "Anvil of Crom". :viking:

I know the Conan track (since i`m a Conan fan myself), but it was weird cos I`d just installed the whole album on the hard drive, then afterwards d\led and installed your patch...
When I ran CIV4 it was as if someohow my soundtracks had installed themselves into Civ4! Funny.

Anyway, great piece of music and really starts off the scene... but then again, I am biased!

Hopefully, i`ll get this bug mod working...
 
Weirder still: I didn't know there were Conan movies! (BTW, it's not a bug mod - BtS Unaltered Gameplay, I think it was.);)
 
Problem SOLVED! I went to the BtS Unaltered Gameplay forum and found instructions to go into the Registry. After following it carefully and running the game it worked!!!! Whooohooo!

I just hop they release a version that does away with the need to do this.

Now I can play properly.
 
hello, Amra! I'm so glad you're back! I've made a lot of changes in my personal Toshiba PC just to be able to play you MODS, including this one.Don't need to say anything about this game you've made, you already know it's perfect as always.Thanks a lot!

Glad to see that you got the BUG mod working via the registry change. Sorry you had so many problems with it.

I'm glad people are downloading your scenarios, thanks again for doing them. One of these days when I've finished Amra Advanced, I'd like to try making a Hyborian Age scenario using Conan and a Hyboria map. That's down the road a bit yet, though. BTW, the Conan movies (starring the Governator) were okay at the time they came out but the original stories by Robert E Howard were terrific, even still.

Thanks & good to hear from you, hope you've been doing well. Don't worry about being away for a while, so was I for about 7 months. That's why I'm so late to update my modpack. :mischief:

Just a general status report on "Amra Advanced" (Thanks to Sword of Geddon for the name). I've merged the Revolution & DCM mods with my Basic version and they appear to be working well although I would suggest turning off a few of the DCM options for a smoother game. I've actually turned off Battle Effects & Stack Attack by default but everyone will be able to renable them if they wish.

Last night I finished adding the new religions & resources and will be adding 5 new corporations that utilize some of the new resources later today. Hopefully, I can post some screenshots in the next couple days. And, yes Sword of Geddon, the MesoAmerican religion is now called Nahuatlism. :D Thanks for the info & suggestion.

And last but not least:
A BIG thank you to kwarriorpoet, Kalimakhus, & TORARADICAL for helping to test. It was & is really appreciated. :goodjob:

PS: 600 BC for Amra BTS isn't doing as well, but that may be due to the fact my Screenshot function seems broke somehow...
 
Amra, in your new version, are you planning to add those wonderful sea animals, krack & wherewolf, etc, remember you did it to warlords?I would like to have them again in BTS.
And Dale's Civcustomiser, can it be played together with this MOD?

rebakan, that can be done in XML, I think the file is called something like civilizationinfos. Look for the entry on Germany, and then look for "white" and change it to "blue". that's what works for me :)

No, the Civ Customizer portion of Dale's Combat Mod will not be included because it conflicted with portions of the Revolution Mod.

As Moopoo said, you would need to edit the CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml file (with notepad is fine) in my modpack. It should be located in the Amra v3 Basic\Assets\XML\Civilizations directory.

Search for "PLAYERCOLOR_GRAY" and change that to another color that you want. The available colors are listed in the XML\Interface\CIV4PlayerColorInfos.xml file.

Be aware though that all the colors listed in that file are already assigned to another civ so if you want a different shade of blue then you need to add it to that file by creating a new PLAYERCOLOR entry. This can be done by referencing the CIV4ColorVals.xml file in my modpack.

With all the civs that are in my modpack, it can get a little confusing & difficult to find a somewhat unique color. :crazyeye:
 
What new units have you planned for Amra Advanced btw I'm curious. I'm glad things are going well.

Below is a list of new units that were in my Warlords modpack but I haven't gone thru it yet to see what can be removed and what can be added to it. Basically, I liked the idea of an early tank & an early aircraft unit and then more future units (from Next War?) but I've got to give more thought.




I've been working on the Resources, Religions & Corporations this week and I'd like an opinion on whether to redo the Corporation building graphics. Below is what I've done so far. The graphics are from Sid's Railroad game (I Think) and were posted here by someone else. Obviously, I've tweaked a few to include the logo for the corp.



Worth keeping or stay with the generic Corporation buidlings? :D
 
Amra could I make a small sheet for you perhaps for your modpack(units)? There are some ideas I have which would be presented better organized in sheet format.
Of course, that sounds like it would be helpful. At times, I can be very organized but on so many other occasions, I'm not. Such as with the Advanced modpack. A lot of things are in my head, I just haven't written them down in an orderly fashion.

Check your PM for other info.
