BTS Installation Problem

So I just got my BTS version today...very excited but im havin problems installing it.

I go through the first part of set up fine but then it goes to update the Direct X and thats fine but When it gets to the patch i get error message.."patch failed to install, installation aborted or something...

Any ideas what could be causing this??

what kind of civ4 is this? cd or digital version?
what kind of bts is this? cd or digital verison?
was civ4 patched before you installed bts, if yes to what?

i have civ vanilla cd version installed
the bts verison is also cd
And I never installed a patch on vanilla.....but i did try doing that too but the patch for vanilla was aborted too.

try patching Civ4 to 1.61 and then installing BtS
