The Newbie Nightmare
OS is Vista Ultimate 64-bit. Graphics card is a 7900GS with 162.22 Forceware drivers. Civ4 is patched to 1.74 and BTS is patched 3.03.
If I try to run the game I coloured lines flickering on the screen (like a telly that's on the blink). I can't see anything else, and this continues beyond the intro movies to the main menu.
I tried running BTS in compatibility mode for XP SP2, but then I got told to insert the correct CD-ROM, which I evidently already had (it's a DVD anyway). So no luck there.
Additionally, I do not have any start menu items or a desktop shortcut for Beyond the Sword.
Can anyone help?
P.S. I can't find official tech support for Beyond The Sword. The Firaxis page is worse than useless, and T2K only seem to be supporting Civ4 and Warlords.
