The civilopedia says if I take my Great merchant to a city-state I can get gobs of gold.
Then When I try to move the unit into the city-states borders it says it will cause me to declare war on them??? I was like well they are my friends but maybe if I spend 250 gold to make them allies. Nope that didn't work ARGH.

I still can't attack Siam either. Even though the peace treat expired like 30 years ago.

If you click on the GM's "special ability" button, what happens? (I haven't gotten a GM yet, so I can't help, sorry.)

You clicked on the city, if you click on a hex outside you can go there.

Cooler bugs:

Upgrading to Missile Artillery requires you to still "Set up"
Getting two "50% less unhappiness from number of cities" means you get 0 unhappiness from number of cities. (This one was incredibly hard to notice until I randomly moused over the happiness.)

Apparently, this is only for units that have been upgraded from (lesser) siege units, but having a save to show this would be useful.

Can you please post a save showing this in the Bug Reports forum?

It is a bit disappointing that we cant do trade with major powers as well, as in civ 4.

Your doing it wrong thats why. It took me a second to figure it out too, and I did the same thing as you. What you do is move the GM to the border of a CS, not inside its border, and then the GM will have its special ability icon light up, so you press it, and get your gold!

Recap: Move GM to border of CS, hit GM Special Action Button at the Border, Get a lot of gold, SMILE!

Also, you can move any unit into a CS, it doesnt declare war, but it starts to lower your influence with them. It doesnt warn you either when you move into a CS, only after the fact when you hit next turn does it say that your tresspassing.
