The game crashes when I try to take Jerusalem.

Another issue is the continent border in Africa, which effectively prevent AI Mali from utilising the Cotton and stone next to Timbuktu. Same goes for the gold in Egypt, AI Egypt can't mine it.

I'm having problems installing the mod. I downloaded it into the Mods folder of BtS, but whenever I would load the mod (whether from the Advanced menu or the Play Scenario), the game would close (as expected), the mouse would be "busy" as if it were preparing to open the mod, and then -

Nothing.

Does anyone have an idea about what might be the problem?

Have you checked if there is still a BeyondSword.exe process in your task manager?

Are you sure you have the latest BTS patch, the 3.19 patch installed? Keep in mind, it's better to download the patch from CFC, since the in-game updating is notoriously unreliable.

My India game also crashes. After hitting End Turn the game crashes. SVN revision 593.

Now quite often, when I meet a new civ, we OB and trade a few techs, then immediately they cancel the OB agreement, right after the tech trade. Why?

It's likely because you have a negative Foreign rating due to Bad Relations.
You randomly lose OB agreements when that happens, which I think is incredibly annoying considering
it's virtually impossible to have everyone pleased with you at any given time and you continually rack up tiny little maluses over the course of the game.

"You traded with our enemy!"
"You declared war on our friend!"
"We are upset you are following a heathen religion!"

Etc.

Negative Foreign rating appears to be a permanent fixture in every game of mine,
and this is actually even before I get to start conquering as well.

Dawn is completely correct. I find the instant collapse which tech trading can have on another civ (i.e. mid-turn) to be quite strange also. Especially when I wanted to keep trading with them for other stuff!

It is probably part of some grand design though to prevent us from having supercities. :mischief:

Oh you.

Haven't seen this particular error before:

SVN 592
Caused the game to hang, even Alt+F4 wouldn't work.

EDIT: Updated to 593 and it doesn't improve things.
Save now also attached.

Yes. I'm trying to see if Domination can be achieved with new stability system. I think not. There are too many penalties and not enough positive things which can be done to counter them. A lot of the potentially positive effects are actually quite hard to achieve.

Huh, that's weird, I'd like to try it myself. Do you still have the save of the turn where you began the construction of the AP?

Ah, didn't see this until just tonight. Unfortunately no, I went back to replay a whole bunch of turns and have now advanced over the top of this point in the timeline. Decided not to chase the various Pantheon wonders which hadn't been built and switch directly to Catholicism as soon as it became available. A much better strategy.

The next time I built the Apostolic Palace, no problem.

I notice your scoreboard is gone. And the game becomes real slow. I also had this problem in my Mali game. I know Youtien encountered this too and he somehow managed to solve it. But I can't. :(

That solved the problem -- thanks!

I noticed new things in the Varanasi99 save games.. you all might have noticed it before, though haha.. That mega Rome is way too advanced in tech.. I also got some strange pop-up, details later.

I've already won with the Ottomans & Vikings though.
It can be done, the difference is with how you budget your time.
I've never been able to sit comfortably for too long in my own neighborhood and build up like with the old Domination tactic;
the latest version encourages steady expansion and constant warring a lot more; the latter mostly because you're going to be suffering such bad foreign penalties if you don't at least go in and trigger a collapse.
My Foreign rating actually went down over the course of my Viking game, because I killed so many civs that there weren't a lot left alive to be angry at me anymore.

What I've noticed though is that for certain civs, it will take longer.
My finish date for a Prussian game I'm doing is going to drag out because
I have to wipe out multiple civs from my flanks, otherwise I might get a nasty surprise when I'm not expecting it.
The Vikings have respawned from a period of Russian occupation and because respawned civs start with a large SoD, I can't afford to ignore them.
The Turks are the tech leader, my direct neighbor and have the largest Power score of any AI, I have to make them a priority as well.
That, and because no one peace vassals anymore, and I'm currently at war with China & Japan, I might want to prioritize capitulating them, which means slogging through Russian independents.

I don't think it's that problematic if Domination is next to impossible for specific civs.
