Bug reports and technical issues

I'm experiencing another "Civ 4 Beyond the Sword has stopped working" crash.

I can't actually include this save though, as it is over the CFC size limit.

Another crash; I instantly get another "Civ 4 Beyond the Sword has stopped working"
the moment I capture Kanazawa.

EDIT: I'm assuming at this point, that the CtDs are representative of intended collapses?
I am Solid in my China game and Stable in my Prussia one though.

That's intentional. The change was that your golden age counter won't decrease while you're in anarchy, so you still get to use the total amount of turns.

I dont really understand this. GA are already rather questionable are they worth of it or not. Instead of having couple of turns higher production you can have free techs, tons of cash, enternal GP in your city and other things.

Anyway my rome game crashes always on next turn. I reinstalled new 1.11 and downloaded newest svn. Any idea can this be fixed?

Commerce is also increased, and you get +20 stability and cannot collapse.

Still has a very niche utilization, but it's there.

Yeah you get +1 production and commerce per tile which already has 1, something like double GP points, stability, and the commerce means more beakers. So all in all it's not that bad

I suspect wrong allingment.

My game is crashing (M.A.F) after Austria collapses and Italy respawn. The game doesn't crash imediately after Italy respawn, but when I try to trade anything with Italy, and Italy's name is appearing like TXT_KEY_CIV_ITALY_DESC_DEFAULT. I was really enjoying the new svn and that was so sad :(

AFAIK the less civs are present in the game the less memory it requires. Go to XML and make the possibility of Italy respawn 0. If no civ respawns after the austrian collapse, then you should make it. However, I don't really know, it's just a speculation.

Generally speaking the late game is too heavy. I would like to see all civs alive in the late game, but since my computer can't afford it, I'm forced to propose exactly the opposite. Make a mechanism that collapses the more unstable civs... :(

My computer can handle it, but I find myself going on the warpath not because I'm bloodthirsty anymore,
but just to reduce the number of civs alive so I can get smoother turn times.
I'll usually go to war with a big power, and they'll collapse and a half dozen little civs rebirth from their death.
I usually proceed to mop up independents and take critical cities before destroying all the respawned civs.

If you post a save I will look at it as soon as I have time.

This could be another reason for including the European Union. After a certain year, just merge all the European civs into a single civ!

This is absolutely right. Let the EU spawn in 1958 and absorb all europeans (except from Russians and Turks :D)! If player controls european territory let it out of EU. Civs that control european territory but have their capital out of Europe let its territory out too.
It may be an unplayable civ. The game will became A LOT LOT LOT LOT LOT lighter!!!
