I really need some suggestions for the buildings, can anyone think of a few? I want to brainstorm some ideas as I want to add buildings next.

Bear in mind, some of these ideas might already be in game, but I'm not home to check. Maybe you could list which ones are in game in the first post? I'll avoid simple ones like banks, spaceport, ect.

I'll look at my SotM building list and see what we can borrow.

Cool that would be nice. Also if you could get some building graphics as well it would help as we need new models for buildings.

I think we used barracks for everything. :p Building Art is now on the to-do list.

I might have some older buttons that the Duke made for us laying around as well.

Is this thread for a listing of buildings or new artwork? I know it's early... ;)

Both I want to get the art and the buildings together, not in seperate threads.

Not really a building, but here's a model I made of a starting space colony/base/city. I don't know how to manipulate the CityLSSystem so there's no pic in game, just this render shot that is sort of boring looking. Also, there's no Main building since the Palace would be added later on. So basically a tower, landing pad, and some connected buildings.

Some c/p building ideas:

Barracks: Military Station
Granary: Mushroom Farm
Temple: CO2 Laundry
Market: Public Library
Library: Observatory
Courthouse: Mission Control
Walls: Permafrost Barricade
Aqueduct: Water Recycling

Manufacturing Plant: Electrolysis Plant
SDI Defence: Ion Shield
Recycling Centre: Trade Unions
Power Plant: Havonic Reactor
Hydro Plant: Gravitic Turbines
Nuclear Plant: Fusion Plant

More:

Food Synthesizer
Recycling Tanks (like SMAC)
Power Cells
Anti-asteroid Beams
Hospital
UV shield

Here's a render shot of a Water Reclamation plant. I suppose it could act as an improvement of sorts as well.

If this sort of simplicity is good enough I can start doing more buildings. (It's not like you see them that close up anyhow.)

Here's an unskinned shot of some Recycling Tanks. Basically you go in the first set of doors, get recycled, move to tank 2, and then out the spigot into a waiting truck as fertilizer. :)

That looks good to me and it will get squished in the cities if it is a building.

Thanks. I'm just messing around now, but we need artwork and beggars can't be choosers. :)

One more for now. A simple city laser battery/cannon.

Cool, Can you send me this stuff in a file? They look great but i might want to do skin them a bit if you don't mind.

PM me your email and I can zip these up for you no problem.

And I never mind if someone else reskins my stuff. ;)

Just try to post them here, so that anyone else who wants to can take a look at them:)
