Built Wonder in Roma, then Roma disappears

I'm new to this mod for Civ4. I started as Romans, built the Pyramids in Roma, that turn that the Pyramids were completed Roma disappeared and about 12 units, 3 of which were settlers appeared in the same hex where Roma once was. I used one of the settlers to 'rebuild' Roma but without any of the city improvements I originally had in it.

Not sure, as I'm new to the scenario, if this is WAD or a bug. Feels like a bug to me though, anyone else experience this?

I think I found my problem. I run Civ4BTS on my iMac, and I also got the game through Steam, doesn't look like any way for me to run the Mac patch unfortunately. Too bad, looked like it would have been a good mod.

His issue with not being able to change is likely due to steam's file validation.
