Buying Units in multiplayer Game

My wife and i play couch co-op on PS4...can we not use gold to buy units playing in this mode? We don't have any issues doing this if we each play single player

I think the problem is you need to close your build cue. Don't need to empty it. Then it will be a LB or RB depending on what kind of unit you are trying to buy. Same for religious units. When you're finished you can re-open the cue.

Sorry! I didn't notice at first that you were able to do it individually. Did you figure it out?
