In the civ series one of my favorite things has been diplomacy. So I was wondering if there was any way to expand on that in c2c maybe make the AI be able to trade resources for techs. Also I was wondering if their was away to make a diplomatic marriage option where for some amount of money you can marry another civ. after you do that if you remain more powerful then them for a certain amount of time and the civ has no rightful air to the throne then you get control of that civ. it would also increase friendship and make espionage easier. Also it would be cool if there was a way t stop a nation from using nukes ( besides the UN) maybe if you payed them enough money or something just an idea. Feel free to argue and expand upon it and talk about any other diplomatic related stuff:crazyeye:

I do think there's a lot of room for huge improvements in the diplomacy side of things, including, but not limited to, creating a number of new interactions possible with other civs. I also think there are a number of ways diplomacy currently works that should be reevaluated.

But all this is on a distant portion of the modding radar for me at the moment and I get random and scattered moments of inspiration in this dept. So I'm currently letting it all boil in the head for a bit before really presenting those ideas.

See Barbarian Diplomacy or as it is now called Extra Diplomacy. The main problem sill being to get the AI to use it.

Speaking of diplomacy. With the start as minor civs option selected, you can't see your relationships +'s and -'s the way you can in vanilla until you research writing (working as intended). However, if you go the Spy vs Spy screen (added by C2C), and hover over another civ, you can. Before researching writing. Pointing this out because I don't think that's intended.
