update 8040

- Moved Great Admiral unit and Naval Military Instructor specialist into core.

@TB these are now ready to be used.

We still need to decide if we want a naval equivalent of the Great Commander.

The strategy and pedia entry for Great Generals needs updating. Then we also need one for the Great Admiral. I forgot to check the Great Hunter's strategy and pedia.

edit @Sparth I moved the Great Admiral specialist button to the same place as all the other specialist icons.​

- Add new Natural Wonder Auyantepui.
- Natural Wonder movies may play now but not the Kilimanjaro one.

I think that would be wicked cool yes. The only thing would be that it would be artistically difficult. It could also have some consequences that would need coding... they should only affect naval units and General great commanders should NOT affect naval... at the moment I don't think there's such a distinction. That's less problematic though than the graphics. We'd need to be able to have one unit that has enough graphical variations that naturally upgrades rather than unit upgrades through various tech points. Is this possible?

I'd be happy to help with this but what are the text keys that need adjusting?
 
Because I don't think they are really appropiate. They offer only 40 MP, which is kinda rediculous since it is discovered at Teleportation. Supersonic Rails with 40 MP would make much more sense.

On a different note, is it possible have Rails work in a way that they ignore MP of units and just make all of them go the same distant? It's weird that a car (3 MP) is 3 times faster then a foot soldier when both are IN a train :crazyeye:

Checke C2C terrain1.fpk and found better suited model for electric railroads and enable it :)

Hey, there's something wrong here! I'm getting "failed to compress game data" now...

Edit: Reverted to 8010 for the moment. Try loading these saves and do a couple of turns

Has there been any change in CvUnit::read() that is not saved in write?

I changed something in CvUnit.read and CvUnit.write. I tried some older saves and they load without error in the latest svn.

- Put Neanderthal movie define back in. It was lost in the merge.
- fix Kilimanjaro movie define.
- Minor change to Bonus pedia screen.

- New way of myths etc for Sabretooth and Glyptodon
- Make Bison Standard the same as bear and Dear standard.

edit: 8047 update

- Subdued birds can no longer enter ocean or coast plots and can only enter peaks when you have Mountineering.

"Can't read file '/svn/p/caveman2cosmos/code/db/revs/7/7745': End of file found"

Has it been a while? I think we had to pickup a new SVN a while back and looking at that 7745 reference it may have been around then. You MIGHT need to try a fresh new checkout.

This error was triggered by some buttons changed in 8046 so i had to delete 8046 and 8047 from the server. The only way to change them is by putting them into a fpk.
To finally fix this at some point i need to setup a new svn repository and make the old repository read only.

We are back at 8045.

If you updated your local working copy to 8046 or 8047 you need to do a new checkout!!!
 
Yes it it will, the files itself or their hash triggers this problem. We had it a few times in the last months.

Added folding to some culture flags. Now they look more natural (not flat), like in BTS.
