C3c not opening :(

I upgraded my OS to XP over the summer, when I changed to XP C3c wasn't installed anymore. Today i went to reinstall the program and it went smoothly, and now for the past hour I have been searching through these forums to find a way to fix my problem:
When I start C3c it opens to the splash-screen and then the screen goes black as if it is working and then blinks back to my desktop
Can somebody tell me how to fix this?

ive been getting this same problem... im almost certain i have all the required components.. it just won't load up

Okay I finally got it to work!!
All i needed to do was uninstall it from my D drive and reinstall it to my C drive!! If only i had known it would be so easy!

im saddened now. I looked up where installed it, and it is already on the C: Drive.

im going to try uninstalling it, and then reinstalling it though, hoping that it might work

Ok, I think I had the same problem, the game would open up so it would go to play the opening video, but before it did it went back to desktop am I right?

I managed to solve it, for some reason, my anti-virus was interfering with the game, so try turning off you anti-virus before you go to play.
