Thanks my friend for the invite...this era isn't my strength but it seems like an interesting challenge to step out from the Modern Era.

I'll take Spain and bear with me!

I´m not intrested in taking part in this scenario. I just wanted to drop by and say that I really think that Luthor is living up to his motto "Civ3 slave"

How many pbems is it now? :)

hmm, I've never played PBEM, but I would like to.

Seems, only england and portugal are left: tough choice.

I think I would rather play england.

I'll take a stab at the Portuguese if you like. Only just started PBEM (this would be my second) so as aksully said 'bear with me!'

Sent you my email address. So I better start practicing with Portugal then.
    Colombo
I love Sid's Colonization so it will be interesting to see how the same scenario plays out in Civ.

File sent: I don't remember, but it's similar to the one above me (except with a "d")

Why did I pick England? They are probably the weakest one:(

Hey Luthor...how is city flipping in this scenario? Can/will city flips? Seville is very close to Lisbon. Will its starting culture cause Seville to flip early on? I would hope we are able to turn it off if that's possible. Its okay in a one player game but don't think it belongs in a PBEM of this scope.....

If culture flips can't be turned off, we could always agree to not accept the city. I am certainly agreeable to doing that.

    GPS to Luthor.

I noticed that the only Diplomatic Option that is listed when contacting another Civ is ROP...what happened to the others?

    GPS. Dutch Discovery starts!

    CITY FLIPPING
I did not turn city flipping off so it might be on.
If Seville is close to Lisbon, then building a University there could help the city to remain Spanish... besides it could help you in achieving a cultural victory.

    DIPLOMATIC AGREEMENTS
Military Alliances are allowed by 'writing' so that option should be available... I've tried starting the game in Single Player and Military Alliances were available!!! I don't know why it happens.

Yeah Scully is right about the Diplomatic stuff, maybe it is because it is multiplayer. See what options you get when you meet the natives.

...and the Portugese discover the Dutch and their discovery :mischief:
