Can I turn off map trading ?

Yeh. I love the buzz of discovering where the heck they all are. But trading maps is just too easy, but also too tempting. If I can turn it off for everyone in the game I'll do that.

Can I do it ? How ? Anyone....

You have to do a tiny bit of modding to get that...

You have to change the file CIV4TechInfos.xml.

In it inside the entry for Paper, change

  <bMapTrading>1</bMapTrading>

to

  <bMapTrading>0</bMapTrading>

Since there will no longer be a tech that enables map trading, it can't happen.
