Can not get out of Peace treaty !

I had a small war with Gandhi and we made peace. But the peace did not expire after 10 turns. Some how we have got a permanent peace. How is that possible ? or does my game have a glitch ?

I need to destroy his capital to win :-(

Use diplomacy. Be as obnoxious and unreasonable as you can in the same turn. Each time you make a demand or an insulting unfair offer it escalates the chance you will eventually get attacked. Do it again and again before hitting next turn.

You can throw a nuke on his territory, it will declare war no matter what. It's the only way I found to bypass that nasty bug.

You can prevent the never ending peace bug by putting a strategy resource/luxury in the negotiation table that runs for 45 turns. Then the peace treaty will end exactly at 10 turns.
