Grassland = 2:food:
Grassland Hill = 2:hammers:

Grassland Forrest = 1:food: 1:hammers:
Grassland Forest Hill = 1:food: 1:hammers:

I dont get it. There's no difference between a flat forrest and a hill forrest?

Yeah, forests are always forests and ignore the underlying terrain. I noticed that in the manual when I read it while waiting for the release.

*sigh*

Guess i'll just put it on my "changed because we can" list.

Civ IV was the only one I remember that had base terrain affect Hill and Forest output.
It was fixed before that.

(I might be wrong, I'm getting so old that memory is blurry)

Either way it made more sense to me.

Well... net really.

If you think about it, forest in real life give wood, it doesn't matter the terrain they are located in (Jungles in adfrica/brazil or artic forest in Canada/northern Europe).

If you clear the land then yes, base terrain is different, crops and productivity might vary.
