Can the AIs handle raging barbarians?

Has anyone tried this setting much?

I want to stay ancient-classic era a bit longer. My hopes is that this brings more warfare and less easy expansions.

My fears are that the AIs will become cornered by the barbs.

Do that and your signing your own Death Warrant.

Watch as the Germans, and Ottomans suddenly kick the hell out of all adjacent civs with their instant early game army and or navy.

It happened to me, never again. Better bet is to just put like 14 civs on, it makes it way harder for them to expand.

I tried with raging, the AI is really stupid and this setting will just make the game even easier than it already is, which is ridiculously easy.
