Can you play as USA in Empire?

Hiya, I wonder can you play as America in Empire:Total war, other than the story/campaign mode?

In normal nation selection screen they aren't included (As the nation hasnt been founded yet) but any way to play them anyway?

You have to finish the campaigns, the last one is the one that lets you play as them with a later start date.

It will go from 1776 to 1825 if i remember correctly

That is 1783 to 1825 I believe. The road to independence where one fights to gain independence from Britain starts in 76. the American republic where one leads America after the revolution starts in 83 which is the same year the warpath expansion where one plays as a native tribe begins.
